About Education
MHN Academy's MEB-approved Professional Makeup Training is a comprehensive vocational program that combines theory and practice for those aiming to turn makeup artistry into a career or improve existing techniques.
At our academy in Kadıköy, Istanbul, the program covers skin analysis and preparation, color theory, professional complexion makeup, contouring and highlighting, eye and lip makeup, bridal and event looks, and techniques designed for long-lasting results.
In classes of no more than eight students, you can consolidate what you learn through practice on real models under experienced instructors. We supply professional makeup products, brushes, equipment and other materials.
MHN Academy prepares students for the industry with color knowledge, aesthetic judgment, practical experience, hygiene awareness and professional service skills. We also offer guidance on career planning and internship opportunities throughout training.

Previous professional makeup experience is not required. Registration and eligibility for the MEB-approved program are assessed during the application process.
Throughout MHN Academy Professional Makeup Training, you will learn the theoretical foundations of makeup artistry and develop technical skills and aesthetic judgment through hands-on practice.

Module 1 – Introduction to the Profession, Hygiene and Occupational Safety
Principles of professional makeup artistry; areas of work for makeup artists; professional work environments; personal hygiene; cleaning makeup brushes; safe use of cosmetics; and professional ethics.
Module 2 – Skin Analysis and Makeup Preparation
Skin structure, types and undertones; pre-application assessment; cleansing and moisturizing; selecting primer; and preparing the skin appropriately for professional makeup.
Module 3 – Color Theory and Professional Cosmetics
The color wheel; warm and cool tones; color harmony; selecting foundation for skin undertones; corrective products; makeup brushes and sponges; and principles of using professional cosmetics.
Module 4 – Professional Complexion Makeup
Foundation application; use of concealer; color correction; powdering; natural and full-coverage complexions; layering products; and professional setting methods.
Module 5 – Contouring, Highlighting and Face Shaping
Analyzing different face shapes; light-and-shadow principles; cream and powder contouring; highlighter and blush; and techniques to balance facial features.
Module 6 – Professional Eye, Brow and Lip Makeup
Eyeshadow for different eye shapes; blending; smoky eyes and cut-crease techniques; eyeliner; brow shaping; false lashes; lip lining; and professional lip makeup.
Module 7 – Daytime, Evening and Special-Occasion Makeup
Natural daytime looks; evening makeup; event makeup; designs suited to different age groups and facial features; and selecting appropriate products and techniques.
Module 8 – Bridal Makeup and Long-Wear Techniques
Bridal preparation and trials; choosing colors for skin and bridal styles; evaluating photographic lighting; porcelain-effect complexions; setting; and professional long-lasting makeup techniques.
Module 9 – Professional Portfolio and Career Development
Greeting clients; analyzing needs; planning looks; presenting professional services; taking application photographs; building a portfolio; and developing a career as a makeup artist.
At MHN Academy, Professional Makeup Training is based on learning by doing. Experienced instructors reinforce theory through supervised practical work.
In classes of up to eight students, you gain hands-on experience in professional complexion makeup, contouring and highlighting, eye and lip makeup, and bridal and special-occasion looks. Our trainers observe each application and give individualized feedback on technical progress.
Through the academy's live-model support, you can practice on real models arranged by us and improve your skills across different skin types, face and eye shapes and skin tones.
MHN Academy provides the professional cosmetics, brushes, sponges, accessories and other application materials used during training.
All practice takes place under instructor supervision according to hygiene and safety rules. Choosing the right products, protecting skin health and developing clean working habits are key priorities.
Our goal is to give students not only makeup techniques but also the knowledge, practical experience and confidence to create professional looks for different client needs.
MHN Academy Professional Makeup Training is a vocational education program approved by Türkiye's Ministry of National Education (MEB).
Participants who meet attendance and achievement conditions and pass the required theoretical and practical examinations are eligible for an MEB-approved Course Completion Certificate, subject to applicable regulations.
The program develops the knowledge and practical skills needed for careers in beauty salons, makeup studios, bridal preparation centers, photography and event industries.
The acquired skills can provide a vocational foundation for participants seeking to work as professional makeup artists or offer independent makeup services.
