About Education
MHN Academy's Ministry of National Education-approved Men's Hairdressing Training is a comprehensive vocational training program that combines theory and practice, designed for participants who want to start a career in barbering from scratch or improve their existing skills.
Our academy in Kadıköy, Istanbul, offers training aimed at helping you acquire professional skills in various areas of men's hairdressing, from basic scissor and clipper use to classic and modern men's haircuts, fade and taper techniques, beard design, hair coloring, and styling applications.
In our classes, limited to a maximum of 8 students, you'll have the opportunity to reinforce the techniques you've learned through practical applications on real models, under the guidance of our experienced instructors. All tools, equipment, and materials used in the training are provided by our institution.

No prior barbering experience is required to begin training. Registration and participation requirements for the Ministry of National Education-approved program are assessed during the application process.
During the MHN Academy Men's Hairdressing Training, you will learn the theoretical foundations of professional barbering practices while developing your technical skills through work on real models.
Within the scope of the training;
Analyzing hair structure, hair types, and face shapes.
Using professional scissors, combs, and razors.
Classic and modern men's haircut techniques
Fade, skin fade, and taper transition techniques.
Creating symmetry, balance, and smooth transitions in haircuts.
Beard trimming, beard shaping, and styling to suit your face type.
Hair washing, conditioning and professional styling methods
The basics of men's hair coloring techniques.
Hygiene, disinfection and occupational safety rules
Assessing customer needs and communicating with professional consultants.
Working procedures and professional ethical principles in the barber shop
You will have the opportunity to learn and practice under the guidance of an instructor.
Module 1 – Introduction to the Profession, Hygiene and Occupational Safety
The fundamental principles of the men's hairdressing profession include professional salon organization, personal hygiene, equipment cleaning, disinfection, occupational safety, and professional ethics.
Module 2 – Hair Anatomy and Analysis
Analysis of hair structure, hair types, hair growth directions, head and face shapes, determining the most suitable hairstyle for the client, and pre-cut preparation.
Module 3 – Scissors, Combs and Machine Techniques
Professional scissor and comb usage, razors and cutting heads, basic cutting angles, scissor-mounted comb and machine-mounted comb techniques.
Module 4 – Classic and Modern Men's Haircuts
Basic men's hairstyles, classic cuts, layered cutting techniques, creating transitions between hair lengths, symmetry, and modern hair design.
Module 5 – Fade and Taper Cutting Techniques
The fundamental principles of low fade, mid fade, high fade, skin fade, and taper applications, eliminating transition lines, ensuring cut uniformity, and professional finishing techniques.
Module 6 – Beard and Moustache Design
Techniques for determining the right beard style for your face shape, beard trimming, contouring, beard and mustache shaping, and nape and sideburn trimming.
Module 7 – Hair Care, Coloring and Styling
Hair and scalp care, professional grooming products, the basics of men's hair coloring, blow-drying, styling products, and finishing techniques.
Module 8 – Customer Communication and Professional Development
Customer reception, needs analysis, hairstyle consultation, service quality, professional salon processes, and career development in men's hairdressing.
At MHN Academy Men's Hairdressing Training, we prioritize learning by doing. Theoretical knowledge is reinforced through practical applications conducted by our experienced instructors.
In our classes with a maximum of 8 students , our students gain active experience in classic and modern haircuts, fade and taper techniques, beard design, and hair styling applications.
As part of our live model support program , we offer students the opportunity to practice on real models organized by our institution. Our students develop their professional skills by working with different hair types, face shapes, and cutting techniques.
Professional tools, equipment, and materials used in training sessions are provided by MHN Academy. All work is carried out in accordance with hygiene and safety rules, under the supervision of instructors.
Our goal is to ensure that our students, upon completion of their training, possess the knowledge, skills, and confidence to apply the techniques they have learned in a professional work environment.
MHN Academy Men's Hairdressing Training is a vocational training program approved by the Ministry of National Education (MEB).
Participants who fulfill the program's continuation and success requirements and pass the necessary assessments and exams are entitled to receive a Ministry of National Education-approved Course Completion Certificate in accordance with the relevant legislation.
The men's hairdressing training aims to provide participants, who aspire to a professional career in barbershops, men's hair salons, and the personal care industry, with professional knowledge and practical skills.

Course completion certificates, master craftsman certificates, and business opening permits are all different processes. The conditions for professional authorization and business opening are subject to the relevant legislation.
